It Aerial Yoga suitable for me?

Yes, it is.  Aerial Yoga is suitable to all levels and abilities.  The class instructor will teach you the basics before advancing to the more exciting poses.

What should I expect?

Students will be led through a progression of movements designed to build muscle tone and flexibility while enjoying the use of the hammocks for support and assistance. The class includes inversion and swinging techniques, and the program is structured to accommodate all levels of students. Classes always end with a swinging “Savasana!” Peaceful, meditative, and nurturing.

What should I not wear to class?
  • jewelry of any kind: necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings (wedding rings are permitted if covered by athletic tape)
  • clothing with zippers, snaps or buttons
  • tank top t-shirts (unless layered under or over a shirt that covers the armpits)
  • long or sharp fingernails
What are the benefits of Aerial Yoga?

Studies have shown the benefits of inversion techniques, core strengthening and overall fitness promoted through complementary muscle system training. Aerial Yoga can give its students:

  • Effective overall conditioning
  • Deep core building and strengthening
  • Safe, effective inversion movements
  • Decompression of the spine
  • Increased flexibility, balance and agility
  • Healthy cardiovascular function
  • Increased muscle tone
  • Better spatial and sensorial awareness
What should I do to prepare for class? And bring to class?
  • Please arrive early to set the height of your hammock with the teachers’ support and to do any necessary paperwork. Classes start on time and late arrivals will not be allowed to enter once the class has started.
  • Arrive well-hydrated
  • Bring a yoga mat or towel, especially for kneeling movements
  • Eat lightly an hour or so before class; don’t come with a full stomach
What is TRX?

Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete 100s of exercises.

The PB Fitness Studio has interesting and innovative classes that combine TRX with yoga, core and tabata to provide even more options for you.

What do I need to bring for my TRX class?

We supply the TRX suspension trainers.  For TRX Yoga, you should bring a yoga mat (we have some on hand to borrow).

Where is the PB Fitness Studio Located?

The fitness studio is conveniently located on the southwest corner of Highway 9 and Airport Road (the old "Pete's Donuts").  Only 10 minutes from Orangeville, Palgrage, Caledon East and Caledon Village.  Click here for the map.

How to I book more classes when I've used all of my weekly class allotment?

You can always book additional classes!  Unfortunately, due to a limitation in the system, you must purchase  a single class pass first, and then book the class.

Do I need to sign up for classes beforehand?

It is not mandatory to reserve classes, however making a reservation will ensure you have a spot in the class. It is particularly important for Aerial Yoga and TRX, where we have limited equipment. When a class is full, you can be added to the waitlist. Waitlisted students can get a class spot if somebody cancels.

You may make reservations in advance and may also make recurring reservations.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel at no cost up to 6 hours before your scheduled class starts. After that you will be charged a class credit for cancellation or not showing up.

How do I cancel a class reservation?

Click on the my account icon at the top of the screen. When prompted, login with your email address and password. (You can recover your forgotten password if necessary).

Click on "My Schedule", then click on the "Cancel" link beside the class that you wish to cancel.

Do I need to bring my own bike? My own wind trainer?

Yes, this is a wind trainer class, you will be using your own bike on a wind trainer.

Any bike will do (Road bike, Tri bike, Mountain bike, Hybrid) as long as the rear tire is smooth.

If you do not have a wind trainer, we have them avaiable for rent ($5/class).  You also have the option of renting a CompuTrainer ($10/class).  The CompuTrainer offers these benefits and advantages:

  • Improve your pedaling efficiency
  • Work at real power levels, ensuring your workout meets your goals
