One is the World’s fastest 100m & 200m runner and the other is the gold medalist of the 5000m & 10 000m. Both Usain Bolt and Mo Farah won two individual gold medals and thrilled the 80 000 spectators in the stadium. While the IOC president doesn’t enjoy the wild celebrations of USAIN BOLT, I personally love to see athletes show a bit of their personality and get the crowd pumped up. Usain came into the games as one of the known superstars but Mo Farah was not nearly as widely known around the world. The Brit had moved to USA to train with legendary coach Alberto Salazar and American runner Galen Rupp. Coming back home to win the 5000m & 10 000m track races in front of 80 000 wildly cheering fans will be one of the highlights for many track fans. There is a special magic required to be able to win in front of the world, and still have the personality and capacity to entertain a crowd of 80 000 people at the same time. Usain & Mo are two examples of men who have been able to blend athletic world class performance with a high entertainment factor.
